Friday October 6th

So this past week we got to conceptualize and start making our own card games. It was so cool to come to the with our group and just rift out ideas. After a bit of time passed we finally landed on our card game Got To Go. We are really utilizing the Iritive cycle from chapter 11 in Macklin and Sharp's Book. We go around in that circle of thinking of ideas, making a prototype, and we are even getting to playtest our game! What I think is cool, we continue to have sparks of ideas to add to our game and make it even better for the players. I am really having fun with this cause it is really using my creative side well, but also I am also thinking in a more realistic way as well. You want to have a cool and creative game, but you also have to have it come across well so that the players can understand it well. I am doing the writing for the group, so I got to write up the rules for our game. I never really had to sit and think how I write this is a big deal. So that was a fun challenge for me, but I think I executed it well enough that a player can comprehend it and play the game! I am really looking forward to seeing our actual playing cards and playtesting the game next week!
